Mary M. Hornish - Energy Medicine Practitioner

Mary Hornish is an energy medicine practitioner who draws upon her Reiki training, highly-developed intuitive guidance, and experience gained while apprenticing with a holistic nurse practitioner/energy healer to utilize and direct life-force energy in a therapeutic, client-directed manner for both adults and children.  She assesses, balances, harmonizes, and enhances an individual’s energy to promote optimal physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health.  She uses intuitive guidance to connect deeply into a client’s energy field to identify “frozen energy” or energy imbalances which may represent physical, mental, or emotional pain or blocks creating dysfunction.  In addition, she employs many complementary vibrational modalities such as flower essences, essential oils, color and sound therapy, homeopathy, and guided meditation.

“I believe we are all spiritual beings who have chosen to experience life in a physical universe. We are a latticework of interacting, multidimensional energies composing mind, body and soul.  If these energy systems become imbalanced, there may be resulting pathological symptoms that manifest on the physical/emotional/mental/spiritual planes.  I combine subtle energy healing, therapeutic touch and rebalancing techniques with the use of intuitive guidance.  Working from the mind of the heart, I connect with universal life-force energy to create a strong energy field and a healing space to allow the body/mind to accelerate its innate healing abilities.  Intuitive guidance helps clients to re-establish their connection to Creator/Source/God and to identify core issues and energy blocks, which when released and resolved, result in a greater healing potential.  It is my desire to help clients embrace the holistic view of medicine that has been with humans for thousands of years, and begin to view themselves as multidimensional beings of unlimited growth and healing potential.”

Mary Hornish received a B.A. in liberal arts with highest honors from Duke University.  She has spent the last four years working intensively with an energy healer/holistic nurse healer and intuitive counselor while completing coursework in energy medicine, intuitive guidance, and complementary healing therapies.  In addition, she is a certified Reiki practitioner, and has completed Reiki Level 2 training, a laying-on-of-hands healing therapy.  Mary works with both adults and children, and as a mother of a special needs child, she has a particular sensitivity and interest in working with children with developmental differences.
